This song is based on Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in the LORD with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

When our first son passed away, this verse was constantly brought to mind by the Holy Spirit. We kept finding ourselves asking “Why? Why did this happen to us?” and every time, that verse came to mind. We still don’t know Why, but we know that with God, all things work together for good to those that love Him and are called according to His purpose, so we trust Him.
